5 Million Flashcard Sets!

Hey Quizletters,

On March 31st Quizlet passed its 5 millionth user-generated flashcard set. Wow!

We’ve been racking up new records this school year. It took 869 days to reach the first 1 million flashcard sets but just 78 days (January 12, 2011 to March 31, 2011) to go from 4 million to 5 million sets. That’s a lot of studying!

Other highlights (available real-time):

1) 150+ million = number of terms/definitions created

2) 30 = average # of flashcards per flashcard set

3) 400+ million = total number of answers logged so far

This spring semester alone we’ve rolled out a bunch of new features:

- Audio in Chinese, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, and English

- Translations in German, French, Japanese, and (in honor of April Fools’ Day) Pig Latin

- Better create, group, and sort options

- A faster Quizlet experience

- Easy Quizlet embedding

And mobile continues to grow. There are now over 40 mobile apps powered by Quizlet on all major platforms. Check them out!

We’re humbled by the growth of Quizlet so far and excited to launch even more features in the coming months.

    To comment #33. The website suggests several applications one can download on their iPhone, iPod Touch, or Android to access their Quizlet flashcards. Flashcardlet app has been working great for me. Check it out!
